Whiny Dems With Short Memories

Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont., needs more than a calming infuenceIt’s beyond laughable, listening to Democrats whine about the treatment of their legislators at the town meetings from hell.

In Austin, Texas, Rep. Lloyd Doggett was drowned out by a group of noisy, sign-waving demonstrators who shouted, “Just say no” as he tried to talk about health care reform.

In an e-mail to POLITICO Monday, Doggett called the group a “mob, sent by the local Republican and Libertarian parties” that “came not just to be heard but to deny others the right to be heard.”

In Morrisville, Pa., Rep. Patrick Murphy was forced to scrap plans for a one-on-one meet-the-congressman session when people in the crowd started shouting. Murphy switched to a town hall format mid-event and even then had to ask the audience at times to “be respectful.”

It’s a hoot hearing Democrats reminding Republicans to “be respectful”.

Again, in 1994 when the Republicans took the House and Senate, we were passionately reminded not to gloat (and we didn’t). In 2009 after the victory of Barack Obama, Democrats took to the streets in a Third World-esque frenzy, gloatin’ their asses off.

And when it came to really show us all how to be respectful, we got this…

I don’t think Democrats have any capital when it comes to lecturing anyone on being respectful, especially when the only reason they are is because they’re getting a good taste of their own medicine.

Poor babies….
