Actually, considering this administration has been hyped as having the smartest people ever to hold their respective posts, that to hear one admit they were wrong is amazing. Then again, admitting they were wrong is right, correct?
The truth is, we and everybody else misread the economy … We misread just how bad the economy was.
Hold the phone, Joe. Many told President Obama that his stimulus plan wouldn't work, so be careful whom you include with this "everybody" shit. As usual, we were reminded who won the election (meaning shut the hell up and let the geniuses fix things).
So the second question becomes, did the economic package we put in place, including the Recovery Act, is it the right package given the circumstances we're in? And we believe it is the right package.
But when asked if this "right package" is so right it should be replicated…
