I’ve already pointed out why I think Eric Holder is a profoundly bad pick for US Attorney General, and discussed how Holder broke his promise not to send SWAT agents to forcibly remove Elian Gonzalez in the middle of the night, which was all done without a court order. Now Jim Geraghty links to this video from Fox News in which Eric Holder makes the ludicrous statement that Elian Gonzalez was not removed from his home “at the point of a gun” when clearly that is exactly what happened. Was Holder trying to get away with a bold faced lie, or is Holder just an idiot? And, does it really matter?
