This one is kinda sad.

This series of photos is telling the suffering of a poor bird shocked with his partner's fatal injury.
Here his mate is injured and the condition is fatal.
Here he brought her food and attended her with compassion.
He brought her food but shocked to find her dead, he tried to move her.
Aware that his sweetheart is dead and will never come back to him again, he cried with adoring love.
He stood beside her, saddened of her death.
Finally aware that she would never return to him, he stood beside her body with sadness and sorrow.
Millions of people cried after watching this picture in America and Europe and even in India .
It is said that the photographer sold these pictures for a nominal fee to the most famous newspaper in France . All copies of that newspaper were sold out on the day these pictures were published.
I'm not sure about all the human, emotional attributes issued here, but there is something sadly admirable about this.

Ummm… if yuo look closely, these 2 birds look very much to be of the same sex – coloration and such. What this SEEMS to be is 2 males fighting and one killing the other. Not so loving.
These are definitely 2 male Barn Swallows (Hirundo rustica) engaged in a territorial battle. If you check the information about this species you will find that males have been observed fighting for nest space, sometimes even going as far as one killing the other. That’s what’s happening here. You can see the aggression in pictures 3 and 4, and in picture 5 the victor is giving a cry of victory.
We don’t do ourselves any favours, sentimentalizing the animal world. Nature is red in tooth and claw.
