Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens will not be returning to the Senate. Good. One down, a few dozen to go.
Even though Stevens falls under the umbrella of the Republican Party, I’ll never mourn the end of the career of a six-term congressional lifer who raked in more slapstick “road to…” cash than Bob Hope and Bing Crosby.
But Stevens did leave one legacy that I’ll forever appreciate. Below is the Senator describing the Internet — the famous “series of tubes” — through which even something the size of a felonious Senator can apparently go down.
He came across like Paris Hilton trying to describe a particle accelerator, and I loved every second of it:
