This is starting to get ugly.
Like the election many of us already have our minds made up about this subject. The gay community has asked for a lot and offered nothing in return. There is a lot that the gay community could do to strengthen it's credibility in the black community such as tackle the AIDS epidemic among the African American community. Instead, they got their own resolve and prevention in THEIR community and could care less about everyone else. So I'll go deep for a second and say this to me is indicative of the depravity of the gay community or at least those who are actively involved in perpetuating the gay lifestyle as a civil social issue. The core of the Civil RIghts movement was community support, people working together for a common or greater good. Whites lost their lives in the South helping blacks register to vote as well as blacks. One can go back as far as Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad. I agree with Jasmyne on that. The gay community is asking for a whole lot of empathy and displaying none of the same in return.
The rest of the comments display a divide between blacks and gays that won't go away after this whole Proposition 8 mess goes away.
I guess "change" means eating themselves alive.
