It’s good to know that our politicians are busy confronting the real threats:
In a closed-door gathering at Gracie Mansion late last month, health experts and food-industry representatives were told about Mayor Bloomberg’s next crusade — an effort to reduce the salt in processed food by 20 percent over the next five years.
City health czar Dr. Thomas Frieden went as far as saying that high blood pressure, which is linked to excessive salt, is “the greatest public-health threat facing the city.”
Concerns like those expressed recently from many of our politicians have prompted the NYPD, FBI and Homeland Security to put out a new poster.
