The reason for the title (which is obviously a take off on the ridiculous “Bush lied, people died” chant) is that Obama lied when he stated he’d sign the Born Alive Infants Protection Act if it contained the same neutrality clause as the federal legislation. But, when it was written so that it did include the same language, Obama still refused to vote for it.
And, now Obama is lying all over again, stating that a McCain ad that takes him to task for his failure to sign the bill is sleazy and not factually correct. But, facts are stubborn things, as someone once said. And, the facts here speak for themselves. Obama voted against the Born Alive Infants Protection Act multiple times, and no amount of spin on his part can change that fact. Obama’s position on abortion is so radical and extreme that even the pro-abortion group NARAL is more mainstream than he is.
