Barack Obama tells us today that Europe and the United States need to get together and fight terrorism.

Before an enormous crowd, Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama on Thursday summoned Europeans and Americans together to "defeat terror and dry up the well of extremism that supports it" as surely as they conquered communism a generation ago.

First of all, leave it to Barack Obama to state the obvious, to make a plain vanilla statement that nobody could possibly object to. But the hypocrisy in his statement is laughable. Barack Obama is the guy who’s done everything he could, from voting to cut off funds to our troops in Iraq, to coming out against the troop surge in Iraq, to refusing to vote for a statement that classified the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as  a terrorist organization, to impede our fight against terrorism. After all he’s done to weaken our national security, now Obama is telling us how important the fight against terrorism is? What a lying sack of you know what.
