Punishments might include a stern look from the judge, a lecture not to do it again, or a fine definitely exceeding $50. I agree that that is the most she will get. I also contend that as long as that is all a false accuser gets that we will see more of these false accusations. I also agree that they do not care about the person who was falsely accused. Society has NOT learned a lesson from the Duke incident that cost millions of dollars to the families of the falsely accused, a DA his job (although he certainly helped in this) and law suits to the university and local government, increased racial tensions and the whole team a season of a sport that some were counting on to put them through college by the scholarships they had. (Contrary to popular believe, not all the students at Duke are rich) The accuser was not changed and I do believe dear old Al Sharpton paid her way through college.
