  1. sgmlee Said,

On July 4th, 1776, the congress of the thirteen Unites States of America approved the document which is known today as the Declaration of Independence. That document has such high sounding words as, “We hold these truth to be self evident, that all men are created equal. . .” Then the body gives a list of crimes perpetrated against the citizens of the colonies by the British Crown. And then ends with the idea of self government which is dependant on Divine Providence.
The Declaration of Independence is a declaration of independence from the British Crown and at the same time is a declaration of dependance on Almighty God. Our courts should be required to study this document, along with the Mayflower Compact and the Preamble to our Constitution and then rethink God in the American public arena.
What does July 4th mean to me? That I live in the most unique and God blessed nation in all of human history.
