Torrance, California is Site of Second Fathers’ Rights Rally

Posted by Ray Blumhorst On February - 11 - 2008

Fathers 4 Justice, Los Angeles and the National Coalition of Free Men, Los Angeles teamed up for a second time in Torrance, California to call attention to the plight of Fathers in family courts.

We came better prepared to this Torrance event than our first event. We brought bigger and stronger dollies and we were able to get all our tents, tables and gear to the park location in a matter of a couple of trips to our vehicles.

While a clear blue sky and lush green grass presented a pleasant setting for beaten down Dads and loved ones to gather, the pleasantry of the setting could not take away from the serious reason for Sunday’s rally. Fathers across Los Angeles County, California, and America are being grossly abused by family law courts that do little to dispense just resolutions to family law litigant Fathers who come before them.

We’ve gotten used to people seeing our rallies, then coming back just to talk with us and tell us their personal experiences with Los Angeles, California’s misandrist, family law courts.

The street traffic flow at this location appears heavier than the San Fernando Valley location as evidenced by the number of folks who honk their horns in agreement, as they read the signs set up at our rally.

New to this rally were Fathers’ Issues, campaign buttons. If you’ve seen the protest signs we’ve made, you have an idea of the topics we’re putting on our campaign buttons. We gave away several dozen buttons over the course of the day and were excited to know that people will be wearing these buttons, calling attention to Fathers’ issues, in a variety of settings.

Also new to this event was one member’s new F4J trailer, beautifully painted to let Southern California know, “This is Fathers 4 Justice country.” Judging by the new contacts and warm camaraderie developing in Torrance, California, Fathers 4 Justice country, and National Coalition of Free Men country, is enlarging with each new rally.
