The Encarta World English Dictionary defines “bashing” as follows:
1. physical assault: mugging or violence, especially when directed at a particular group of people
2. criticism: hostile comment directed at a particular individual or group - male-bashing
Domestic abuse law is purported to be a law that is concerned about domestic abuse against women, so is something that alleges to be about ending abuse against a select group of people actually perpetrating the vicious “bashing” of a whole group of other people?

In his 11/13/04 article, Domestic Violence Distortions Conceal Culture of Male Hatred, Mark Charalambous writes:
Ever since male- bashing became the national sport decades ago, there is no shortage of studies to quote in support of the campaign to demonize men. But the public would be shocked if they knew just how academic standards have been corrupted in the social sciences where students who eventually produce these studies are indoctrinated.
A standard introductory sociology textbook used in many colleges and universities, Essentials of Sociology by James Henslin, actually steers students away from doing research on women who abuse men. The first chapter includes a section on the correct methodology for doing research. It uses spouse abuse as an example:
Lets use spouse abuse as our topic. The next step is to narrow the topic. Spouse abuse is too broad; we need to focus on a specific area. For example, you may want to know why men are more likely to be the abusers.

Wendy McElroy, a few years earlier, gives us this perspective on male-bashing and domestic violence law in her 11/27/2001 article, Hang Male-Bashing Out to Dry:
Anti-male slander so frequently passes for domestic violence “awareness” that the YWCA of Middle Tennessee was recently able to run an ad in two Nashville newspapers that depicted the blurred photo of a boy near a front door. The caption read, “One day he’ll own his own house … drive his own car … beat his own wife.”
Sadly, male-bashing permeates every strata of society today, including America’s corrupt legal system, especially in the area of domestic abuse law.
The male-bashing, advocacy research (that passes for research) in Liberal Studies disciplines like Sociology, Womens Studies, Political Science, etc., has been lobbied into law (Violence Against Women Act) by special interest, gender feminist groups, with little or no opposition. Our entire legal system has now signed off on enforcing this abuse of civil liberties, without pausing to reflect on the constitutional rights of men that have been trampled in the process. What should be scorned openly by educators, elected officials, law enforcement, and our judiciary is now just accepted as the status quo with nary a thought given to the inhuman cruelty and tyrannical injustice inherent in male-bashing, domestic abuse law.

What has changed in America in the years since domestic violence law has been passed? Allowing for trends in crime in the general population, and the fraudulent way that gender feminist ideologues keep records, not much appears to have changed in the percentage of women who are victims of domestic violence. However, the wholesale vilification of men as a group has become a national past time that seems to get a little worse every year. I for one am getting very sick of it.

One thing that must certainly be credited to all the “women’s industries” that have been funded by the Violence Against Women Act is the institutionalized male-bashing that greets every male in America 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Who would have ever expected such vile male-bashing to come form a Violence Against Women Act that was supposedly intent on ending forms of abuse like “bashing.”
Considering there were already laws on the books to address violence against men and women, the time has come for this worthless piece of taxpayer bilking legislation (VAWA) to be purged of all gender feminist ideological connections, or revoked. If we are to survive as a free nation with liberty and justice for all, we can no longer tolerate a piece of hate-based legislation that can’t offer a solution to violence against one gender without bashing and abusing the other.

I still think that it is our judiciary that is responsible for all of these junk science and propaganda.
This is the only country in the world that is ruled by its judiciary.
They are the only ones that have the power to intimidate everybody that stands in their way.
They are the only ones who have the power to sieze everybodys assets and distribute it to its largess groups from lawyers to social scientists and feminist functionaries in governmental bureaucracies.
