Escalation of terrorism will not stop at U.S. borders

It’s only a matter of time before America is hit again with a terror attack.  Because of  the rise in terror incidents in other nations, Americans must not think that we will not be hit again.  However, our attitudes must be that of vigilance and strength as we come together and realize just who we are fighting.
We are fighting individuals who have a mentality to gleefully behead innocents.  Such is the case of two American soldiers, Kristian Menchaca and Thomas Tucker, who were brutally murdered, their bodies desecrated after being taken hostage by a group associated with Al-Qaeda in Iraq.   Americans should see, over and over, what terrorists are capable of doing.
We need our resolve back.
(See below: The Jawa Report beheading video and pictures…WARNING: Pictures are graphic)
My sincerest condolences go to the families of the fallen soldiers.
This is one way, however, that I want to drive home the barbaric methods of Islamic terrorists, and to ignite the ire of Americans toward such evil deeds.  Americans are in a serious fight, and we are not to sit back and think all is well, we haven’t been attacked.  That does NOT mean we are safe or immune.
The escalating violence in other parts of the world, such as the recent terror attack in Mumbai, India in which 200+ people have died, should be another wake up call.  Not to mention, Israel has had its share of troubles.  But the country continues to fight back, and fight they should, if they are to survive.  Israel is surrounded by her enemies, and continues to suffer unwarranted attacks, so Israel must fight back to send a message to her enemies that Israelis will not be intimidated or crushed.
Israel is a model to which the U.S. should follow.  The country has stepped up its offensive, not only against Hamas (responsible for the kidnapping of an Israeli soldier), but Hezbollah, a terror group based in Lebanon who is financed and backed by Syria and Iran.  Hezbollah has been responsible for the kidnapping of two more Israeli soldiers in the past week. The kidnapping, Israel has said, is an “act of war.”  In response, Israel has massively thrown down the gauntlet on Lebanon, air and sea.  Lebanon’s International airport was bombed, as Israel tries to choke off supply lines to Hezbollah.  Hezbollah’s headquarters has been destroyed.  This is all for the better, to destroy the base of terrorist operations.
The goal of Islamic terrorists, often backed by other rogue nations has been to agitate and irritate Israel. No matter how much land or efforts on the part of Israel to negotiate with the Palestinians for peace, it is never enough.  As attacks continue on Israel, I am glad that President Bush has stated that, “Israel has the right to defend herself.”  We have Israel’s back. Israel is serving notice on her enemies that she will not be intimidated or crushed!
America!  We’ve become too tolerant, being careful not to offend.  All too often, America allows politics to get in the way of our better judgment when faced with how to correctly deal with the face of evil in the form of Islamic terror.  There is no other way to deal with it than to cut it down, get rid of it.  Terrorism will continue and the only way to combat it is to fight it head on, and to keep the perpetrators of terror on the defense.
Perhaps Americans should see FLIGHT 93, the newly released video of the heroic crew of United Airlines Flight 93, who took back the aircraft from terrorists and landed the plane in a field in Pennsylvania. They averted a HUGE catastrophe where the terrorists’ supposed targets included the Capitol building or White House.
Americans need the resolve, strength, and the grit of Todd Beamer and crew.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Newt Gingrich, has stated that World War III has begun.  In my opinion, World War III began on Sept. 11, 2001, when Islamic terrorists declared war on all who will not convert to Islam.  Does that alarm you?  It should.  Many people on the face of this earth practice a religion other than Islam.  The example of the Mumbai attacks should give one an indication that terrorists want to wipe out anyone who doesn’t submit to Islam.
It’s time to get in gear!  We truly have a fight on our hands!

  1. Sean says:

If you like, I can send you some pictures of American Marines, circa 1930, posing with the heads of the Carib Indians they decapitated.

Or, how about the Vietnam GI’s walking around with “gook” body parts attached to their belts?

  2. Lurk says:

Oh. So you thinkit’s a good thing?

  3. Felicia Benamon says:

    To both Sean and Lurk,

Both of you need to face reality. If you do NOT bow to Islam, it may be your head next. Islamic terrorists want either for you to submit to Islam or die. They come to conquer or destroy you. That’s the hard facts.

And Lurk, a good thing? Are you sick?

This is what America will end up facing again, terrorists are relentless and won’t stop until they’ve conquered the West and other parts of the world.

  4. Sean says:

Piffle. Are you a paid scaremonger? What possible threat did any Lebanese, Palestinian, Afghani pose to you before you stuffed some bombs down them?

  5. Toubrouk says:

Ah, dear Sean. Always ready to blame anything American. Do you really think we have the elitist hold of purity? Remember the Somalian mess of 1995?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Somalia_Affair

  6. conservativation says:

    Sean’s logic
Americans cut ears off NVA soldiers and adorned themselves with them (a horrible thing by the way), therefore, it is just hunky dory that Islamists cut heads off innocents, Iraqis, Russians, Koreans, Brits, and Americans.
    Makes sense Sean.

  7. wtexas says:

No country or culture is without dirt or barbarism. We as human beings are essentially lustfull, emotional animals.

The question becomes distilled to this: Do you protect yourself from harm, if so do you capitulate to the enemy as appeasement, or do you fight violently to sustain your own culture.

  8. Sean says:

wtexas, our side claims the right to severely punish any enemy for defending themselves. We do this because we can, and because we consider our enemies to be inferiors. Ask North American aboriginals about this; they’ll give you chapter and verse.

There aren’t any enemies out there that we didn’t create.

  9. wtexas says:

Sean. What is the solution then? The fact is, if someone is out to do you harm you have to protect yourself. The motivation for wanting to cause us harm won’t matter to the people who would die in a NY subway bombing or a Montreal train derailment.

You seem to say that if a certain group is found to be have been wronged by us, then they can rightously kill us and we would be obligated to stand still, unarmed, and accept death with head bowed in shame.

  10. DadWithGirls says:

    FROM WOUNDED KNEE TO IRAQ:
A CENTURY OF U.S. MILITARY INTERVENTIONS

    http://academic.evergreen.edu/g/grossmaz/interventions.html

I gave up counting after 175 … documented uses of U.S. military force, mostly to suppress indigenous movements for popular democracy.

Apparently “spreading democracy” American-style is mostly fatal for the recipients of our idealism.

  11. wtexas says:

Responding to #8. I assume you are a white anglo male. The fact is the white anglo culture has been barbaric to other cultures. Native American aboriginals have also been barbaric to other groups within their very own native american culture. Asians have been barbaric, as have Africans, as have middle Easterners.

Why are you surprised by barbarism from humans?

It is inherent in our species. It’s a burning fire in the belly. Felt most keenly by young and impressionable men.

  12. Sean says:

wtexas, what a leap to “standing still, unarmed, accepting” shameful death. Sheesh.

War is not inherent in our species. That’s demonstrable. If war’s a burning fire in your belly, you’re an exception. Young, impressionable men are hard-wired for risk taking, but not violence.

  13. wtexas says:

Its not burning in my belly. I’m too old.

What I’m saying is that violence and barbarism are part of our reality and aren’t going to be wished away by positive thinking.

If you Sean, are attacked, even by someone who you truly wronged, you would certainly defend yourself. At the first taste of pain, your animal instincts for preservation would take control.

  14. DadWithGirls says:

“Why are you surprised by barbarism from humans?

It is inherent in our species. It’s a burning fire in the belly. Felt most keenly by young and impressionable men.”

    Ah, another I-feminist-MRA-in-disguise!

Always entertaining to see one of “our own” demonizing his own gender.

There are more hospitable web sites for such bile.

I would assume you have bookmarked them, wtexas?

It’s so easy, lazy to “cherry pick” from the herstories, which you have absorbed well.

Why would a person who has already condemned his gender want to post here?

You not so cleverly are stating “men are barbaric.”

What say you as to the “fairer sex?”

  15. Lurk says:

And Lurk, a good thing? Are you sick? Felicia, it was a question. Read it again and in context of the thread and maybe you’ll begin to understand.

    It runs like this…
If (to Sean) it is justifyable that the terrorists are committing these atrocities because we’ve previously committed atrocities, then we have no right to complain because of the moral equivalency he claims. But, equivalency goes both ways, so continuing the logic we would be totally justified in committing further and larger atrocities against the terrorists and they would have no grounds for complaint because of their previous transgressions.

If however, Sean should like to claim that it is not a good thing then there is no relavence to his bringing up the point, because every fool knows that two wrongs don’t make a right.

So again, Sean are you claiming that it is a good thing? Or do you think that two wrongs can make a right?

  16. wtexas says:

I don’t see how you can say I am condemning my gender, reading from a herstory, or sharing feminazi views.

The fact is men and women are different biologically and emotionally. By simply watching the news from the Middle East you can easily see that men are doing much of the action. Men are shooting guns. Men are strapping bombs to themselves. Are you aware that all the attackers on 9/11 were men.

    What a revelation.

Men are more aggressive than women. In muslim culture the women are basically enslaved and sequestered away. Men rule the roost in Muslim culture.

If you think I am denigrating men by stating facts then I guess you are entitled to your viewpoint. I’m not saying its wrong that men are different, I’m just stating that they ARE different and pointing out those differences.

  17. DadWithGirls says:

wtexas observed in his limited truth — “Sean. What is the solution then? The fact is, if someone is out to do you harm you have to protect yourself. The motivation for wanting to cause us harm won’t matter.”

Notice how wtexas conveniently omits the initial cause of aggression and harm.

(Maybe we could have a long dialogue about the ideology of Manifest Destiny and its lingering toxicity?)

Note the clever lack of any historical knowledge.

Pay close attention to any replies that accuse the defenders of their lands of being terrorists.

I yield further interrogation / commentary to Sean.

  18. Sean says:

Benamon’s incitements to anger in her article needed balancing. She demonized Arabs liberally, so I pointed out a few home truths..that’s all. wtexas, there’s a whole lot of redress available to right wrongs, and Christians are obligated to make good what they made bad. Steal someone’s land? Give it back. That’s what’s required of us, not pre-empting violent response to our sins.

  19. Lurk says:

She isn’t demonizing them. She’s calling attention to their boasts that they broadcast to the world. They are the ones that claime the beheadings are a definition of who they are. These aren’t videos and images that have been snuck out under fear of reprisal. These are videos diliberately made, intentionally delivered and proudly broadcast.

As a Christian, we are called to justice for all. There is no greater love than that a man should lay down his life for another.

Check out Muslim history with Europe. Clue: Ottoman Empire.

Muslims do not get along with their neighbors. Take a close look. Sunnis can’t even get along with Shi’ites. It’s about forced conversion.

  20. Sean says:

Why did the Marines take those pictures, then, if not to deliberately and proudly broadcast who they are?

Muslims don’t get along with their neighbours? Name a country Iran has invaded. Israel has attacked Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq..and put a bomb on a Lybian civilian aircraft, blowing it out of the sky.

  21. Felicia Benamon says:

    Sean,
Demonizing Arabs…no. I did not metnion Arab once. I said “islamic terrorists.” They can be caucasian, as in the case of John Walker Lindh.

    Lurk,
So if you were commenting to Sean, you should have indicated. Otherwise, I took your comment to be directed towards me and my article.

  22. Toubrouk says:

–Why did the Marines take those pictures, then, if not to deliberately and proudly broadcast who they are?–

And I will repeat: they weren’t the only ones to do it in time of conflict.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Somalia_Affair

–Israel has attacked Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq..and put a bomb on a Lybian civilian aircraft, blowing it out of the sky.–

In 1948 Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Iraq declared war to Israel. They had their rear-bottom kicked.

In 1967, Israel went to war against the armies of Egypt, Syria, Jordanand Iraq. Even if the move was pre-emptive, the fact that Egypt removed U.N. troops from the sector is a good hint of the incoming mess.

In 1973, Egyptian and Syrian armies launched a surprise attack against Israel. they were defeated.

In 1982, Israel invaded Lebanon to stabilise his borders by occuping a country went half-mad.

Remember, it takes two to tango. As far as your comment on the airplane, I don’t know what you means but it dint really compare for the tenths of airplanes hijacked and-or destroyed by Jihadists.

  23. Sean says:

You were ginning up antagonism for Islam’s followers, FB. That’s the kernel here.

If you want fear, I have a real spooker for you. Pakistan is a hairsbreadth away from regime change, and Pakistanis hate America’s guts. They have seventy nukes, on ICBM’s.

Or, the rockets aimed at Haifa..how much longer before one hits the oil refineries, massive terminals, petrochemical facilities? Israel is shitting bricks, having misunderestimated the response to their new war plans.

  24. Felicia Benamon says:

No, I’m telling it like it is Sean!

I’m sure many of those countries have nukes–and Israel is kicking butt! As they should. But they have a right to fight back. All they do is give up land and make concession after concession to please Palestinians and their supporters.

But now, it appears they’ve had enough of the terrorism. I don’t blame them!!!

  25. Toubrouk says:

—If you want fear, I have a real spooker for you. Pakistan is a hairsbreadth away from regime change, and Pakistanis hate America’s guts. They have seventy nukes, on ICBM’s.—

Sean, you keep on forgetting something when you talk about Pakistan. It’s not big but I would like you to reflect on it:

    India.

Do you really think that India, with all it’s back story with Pakistan will not push the panic button hard if there’S a shift into Pakistan’s internal politics? Remember, they also have nuclear weapons…

  26. Sean says:

Name one inch of land that Israel has ever given up.

  27. Felicia Benamon says:

I’m speaking of the Gaza pullout last year. You’ve seem to have forgotten that Sean.

  28. Lurk says:

Felicia, I’ll remember to address my comments if you’ll remember what the question mark is for.

Why did the Marines take those pictures, then, if not to deliberately and proudly broadcast who they are? – Sean.

So Sean, you are talking moral equivalenc, then. In which case, we should be fighting these terrorists according to the rules they set down. Beheading any captives at whim and vroadcasting it. Strike fear by using pig blood soaked knives to do it. Film it and broadcast it.

Either they are wrong in what they are doing, or we both get to do it without whining from appeasers.

Muslims don’t get along with their neighbours? Name a country Iran has invaded. Israel has attacked Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq..and put a bomb on a Lybian civilian aircraft, blowing it out of the sky. – Sean.
Sean, Iran attacked and took over the American Embassy in Tehran. That’s American soil. Muslims hijacked the 4 airliners on 9/11. That’s American property. They turned them into bombs by flying them into American buildings. That’s an invasion. You really should look up the history of the Ottoman Empire. They overran most of Europe and multiple times laid siege to Vienna Austria unsuccessfully. Spain in the 8th century and in this century.

Name one inch of land that Israel has ever given up. – Sean.

Israel? Didn’t they give the Palestinians the Gaza strip in exchange for peace? Did the Muslims live up to their end of the bargain? I klnow it’s kind of small on a map, but I think it’s a little larger than an ‘inch’.

  29. Sean says:

Wasn’t theirs to give. You’re not very grounded, are you.

  30. Felicia Benamon says:

The question was not directed to me Lurk, so why should I care? You were talking to Sean.

  31. Sean says:

Thing is, Israel has never recognized Palestine.

Thing is, Israel insists Palestinians recognize Israel, and only then will Israel tell them where Israel’s borders are.

  32. bethesda_paul says:

We should drop off all our liberals in the West Bank and Gaza. The Arabs would run for their lives and the Israelis would no longer have an internal terrorism problem.

  33. Lurk says:

Felicia “And Lurk, a good thing? Are you sick? then and now “The question was not directed to me Lurk, so why should I care? “. But this was directed at me.

Sean, whether or not it was theirs to give, the agreement was made. The Palestinians proved quite solidly that their word (which should be theirs to give) isn’t worth spit. Not grounded in reality at all, are you?

Consider, how can one deal honestly with people that refuse to deal honestly? How can one have any kind of an agreement with those that refuse to keep their end of a bargain?

Thing is, Israel has recognized Palestine. They made a deal to drop their claim on the Gaza for the Palestinians in exchange for peaceful coexistance. The Palestinians are the ones tha completely refuse to recognize Israel.

Is it so hard for Palestine to recognize Israel’s right to exist? Apparently, they demand the same from Israel, but refuse to offer as much. Again, how can one deal in honesty with those that refuse to deal with honesty?

You need to check your history, Palestinians abandoned the ground to permit Syria to attack Israel.

  34. Sean says:

You’re not allowed to make history up. I know what happened, and you’re a pissant. Dismissed.

  35. Denis says:

Whenever I come across one of sean’s posts I am reminded of the people referred to by Ann Coulter in her book Godless. Liberalism is his (her?) religion. Me thinks not very many people have ever seriously listened to this girly-man (or girly-girl). At least not the intelligent ones. The freedoms we all enjoy were paid for by men in the battle field and sean is not big enough, tough enough, good enough, and most certainly not smart enough, to walk in the shoes of these men. Come over to my neighborhood sean and trash our fighting men. All you liberals guys are’nt man enough to create the kind of society where pussies like you can have the freedom and security to yap like an idiot. Either get down on your knees, kiss their asses and give thanks, or find another country you faggot.

  36. Toubrouk says:

Denis, I have the regret to inform you that the poster known as “Sean” claim to be Canadian.

There’s the disctinct possibility that Sean is a stateside poster who just says he’s Canadian or he’s one of our homegrown leftist, “Ugly Canadian”. As a citizen of the Great White North, I am sorry for the inconvenience.

  37. Lurk says:

Thank you Sean. Coming from you, that’s high praise indeed. And a very clear claim that you have no valid retorts available.

Even though Sean claims to be Canadian, he speaks more like a Muslim and as he is quite familiar with the Muslim rhetoric and belief in a complete lack of fault for anything at all.

  38. DadWithGirls says:

    More boring ancient history….

Lurk wrote – “They are the ones that claim the beheadings are a definition of who they are… It’s about forced conversion.”

Well, just another accidental erasure of history?

In the late 1400’s – 1500’s, the Spanish and Portuguese and ( a little later on) French and English CHRISTIANS colonized the “New World,” i.e. the West Indies, i.e the Caribbean, i.e. “our backyard.”

When these Christians arrived, there were 3 million Amerindians and Carib peoples living throughout the islands and coastal South America.

Today there are less than 20,000 descendants of these aboriginals.

    Where did they go?

They were slaughtered by Christians who had been indoctrinated to believe that slicing off the heads of men, women, and children who did not accept Christianity (because they couldn’t even understand the question they were asked by their conquerors about ’serving the Lord’…) was a gift — “sending their heathen souls to Heaven.”

Read Bartholome Las Casas’ diaries of the genocide. The actual FIRST “modern” Holocaust in this hemisphere. Three million people vanished from history!

    Under the loving Christian sword.

But that’s all irrelevant to what’s going on now right?

It’s interesting to note that religion has killed more people in human history than any other disease.

  39. Sean says:

DadWithGirls, we’re dealing with Dull Normals here, if you know what I mean. Think Bill Murray in Caddyshack..and I’m being a bit charitable.

Isn’t it obvious that they equate superior intelligence with femininity? Darwin will deal these knuckledraggers some whoop-ass soon enough; the only drama will be whether they soil themselves first.

  40. Hal says:

You’re not allowed to make history up. I know what happened, and you’re a pissant. Dismissed.

What are you, thirteen? You can’t be an adult, as anyone stupid enough to post the crap you spew could not possibly be smart enough to use a keyboard.

  41. Lurk says:

Who exactly took the census? What are the documented occurrences of the disappearances of these people? I expect that some of them were killed by disease, old age, other aboriginal tribes, weather conditions, fighting, …

No denying that some bad things happened. Much like the non-aboriginals that were taken into the aboriginal societies and their lineages disappeared; aboriginals were also absorbed into the new societies. This happens around the world and down through history. The Neanderthals were replaced by the Cro-Magnons. You got a point here with the half a fact and speculative number?

But that’s all irrelevant to what’s going on now right?

Only if you say so. You seem to be jumping on the band wagon of moral equivalency. “You did the same thing in your past, so we can do it now and you have no right to complain.” That’s perfectly fine with me, because it allows us exactly the same statement. It means that if they have a right to do it, we do. So let’s do it!

Let’s kick it up a notch! BAM! Add a little pork fat or blood to the bullets and knives when we do it. BAM! Take it to the non combatants. (They took it there, so you are saying it’s OK for us to do it.) BAM! They are building Nukes and intend to use them. BAM! We already have them. BAM! They want to eliminate infidels. BAM! We eliminate Muslims. BAM! BAM! BAM!

Or did I misunderstand you? Maybe you meant to say that two wrongs make a right. Good lesson for your girls.

Sean, it is customary for those whose brains have been defeated to resort to name calling. Nice to see you following customs.

  42. Denis says:

If Darwin was alive today he himself would say that his theory-and it was a THEORY that he postulated and not fact-is seriously flawed to the point that it cannot be defended. Time and the scientific method have not been good to Darwin’s theory. As far as equating superior intelligence with femininity you must be on drugs or you must have had serious developmental issues; perhaps you are naturally delusional-no where can that conclusion be drawn here-that conclusion exists in your mind only. As far as soiling themselves that is interesting coming from one with such a feminine mindset and worldview-when the going gets tough girly-guys like you (or girly-girls as it is hard to tell) hide behind the men and oftentimes hide behind the skirts. You add nothing of substance just cryptic commentary because you lack the intellect and mental fortitude to take positions that have lucid, coherent, thoughtfully reasoned, and logical force behind them. You only have weak, empty, immature, snide commentary to offer. Even if you don’t see that fact I’m quite certain many others do besides myself.

Toubrouk- btw, I appreciate the post. This wimp could easily pass for an American liberal.

  43. Sean says:

Denis is the only known case of advancing hairline. Goes by the nickname Piltdown.

  44. Toubrouk says:

Denis, You need to take note that Canadian politics spectrum are more to the left than the American ones. This is why “Anti-Americanism” is kinda chic on our side of the lines. It goes more into the neighbourghood envy than anything else.

What Sean and many of my co-patriots seems to disregard is that 40% of the Uncle Sam’s war machine came with a sticker “Made in Canada” on it (just like the lunar module landing gear and the Walt Disney World monorail, but I am straying away of the idea).

We can, right now, stop the American Army on their track by refusing to sell you the multi-billion dollar military equipment you brought from us on a yearly basis. We don’t because we want the profits and the jobs that came with the blood money. So we can’t really be against millitary actions by the U.S. of A. since we are selling you everything from F-16 jet engines to M-16 rounds.

Once again, it’s all about breaking sugar on the back of Uncle Sam.

On a side note, I don’t want to start a debate on this but I believe it is good to mention that Gravity is also a THEORY. Whatever if a energy, the will of God or a giant invisible noodle appendage that hold things down, we are not really sure.

  45. Denis says:

Good points Toubrouk. And thanks to Sean for reliably proving my points. I think Sean’s personal problems have less to do with being Canadian however and more to do with that raging conversation going on inside his head. Typical aimless and pointless ramblings of the weak.
